Cool little addon for Firefox that lets you see your competitors keywords on Google PPC.
Looking for a way to get your business on TV or Internet radio? Here’s a great, inexpensive way to accomplish just that!
TV: Spotrunner
Internet Radio: TargetSpot
I know, I know, I haven’t taken my own advice yet, but that is mainly because of time restraints. But, with that being said, I HIGHLY suggest if you want to increase your website traffic, a VERY good way to do it, is by publishing your own newsletter. Here are some tips to get you started:
1. Just DO IT!! (I know…practice what you preach Michelle ![]()
2. Write about SOMETHING that you know.
3. Research that SOMETHING on the internet and see if you will have a good listener base.
4. If #3 isn’t so hot, then write about SOMETHING ELSE that your good at until you find your SOMETHING that has a decent size listener base.
5. DON’T SPAM PEOPLE!! That is the quickest way to make a BAD name for yourself.
6. Use a good newsletter script or service such as Constant Contact.
7. Give your readers an EASY way to opt-in AND out of your newsletter.
3. CHOOSE YOUR KEYWORDS CAREFULLY!!
If your keywords and keyphrases are too generic, then all of your SEO efforts could be in vain. You need to use a good keyword research tool like WordTracker to identify the best keywords for your website. If your keywords are too generic…ie….“widgets”, then your less likely to have a top ranking in any of the majors, due to the competition for the term “widgets”. Your best bet is to target a specific keyphrase….ie….“children’s birthday party widgets”. Not only will you rank higher, but your resulting website traffic will most likely be people who are actually looking to purchase “children’s birthday party widgets”. And don’t forget the importance of that almighty Title Tag!! ![]()
2. CLEAN YOUR CODE!!
Does your website validate? Is it full of a bunch of coding errors? Clean up your code, make sure it validates, make your javascripts external and then call them into the page, make the code as tidy and small as possible and then focus on great content and you’ll have a great site in no time!
