….14 years ago today was the last time I held you against my chest. It was the last time I felt your heartbeat. I will never forget the steps I took walking you out to the hurst, nor the last kiss I placed upon your cheeks…..The day my daughter and I are re-united, that is the day that my heart will be healed.

What is SMA? Many people have not heard of SMA or Spinal Muscular Atrophy. I unfortunately, have had these three letters imprinted into my heart since 1995. I gave birth to two children, Cody and Bethany, who were diagnosed with, and would ultimately pass away from those three letters. I HATE those 3 letters and my blood burns for the day I can hear the words, SMA has been cured!! Will you help me in the fight against SMA? Will you spread the word?

So, this year, for SMA Awareness Month, I have decided to do a Project 365 of sorts for my ALIVE kids. When my SMA Angels were alive, there was no such thing as digital cameras around and I have always regretted not taking more pics than I had of Cody and Beth. Sooo, that’s my gift to my kids this year. To take 1 picture EVERYDAY, for 365 days. A book of memories for Faith and Matthew. A year in pics of their lives!
